Samsung Aims Galaxy Y Pro Towards Gen Y!

Samsung Galaxy Y Pro

The “Pro” component according to the new Samsung’s Smartphone naming scheme indicates a physical keyboard which could be side-sliding or portrait. The Samsung Galaxy Y Pro aims at the younger crowd by providing them affordable handsets with sufficient specs.

The Samsung Galaxy Y Pro has the modest expectations with a humble 1 GHz processor, 3 MP camera and 2.6 inch display with a capacitive touchscreen in addition to the portrait QWERTY physical keyboard. So the handset follows the latest combination of touch and type. Galaxy Y Pro like the galaxy series is an Android Phone running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Phone aims at drawing customers away from the Blackberry Curve phone.

Design:

There are four Android keys and between them is a track pad. The track pad is sensitive enough to accurately navigate across the 2.6 inch screen properly. All of the navigational buttons are square and easy to find and press.
Screen:

Samsung Galaxy Y Pro has a display size of 2.6 inch which can be understood why. The screen has a resolution of 240 x 320 which is certain depending upon the phone’s class but still touchscreen layer is very sensitive making to navigate on Android 2.3 Gingerbread simple.

Physical Keyboard:

The portrait QWERTY keyboard is the phone’s most important asset. Due to the phone being relatively wide there is a lot of space for the keyboard. The keys are well spaced, simple to find and easy to press. The physical keyboard is of chiclet style. There are also two function keys down right, which can be assigned an action of our choice.
