Samsung Galaxy S II Vs. Apple iPhone 4: Galaxy S II Steals The Battle

Samsung Galaxy S II and Apple iPhone 4 are the next generation smartphones with their hardware and software specifications. Samsung Galaxy S II was announced at Mobile World Congress event and was the star of the show. While, Apple iPhone 4 is still the hot product to be sold in the markets. The iPhone 4 runs on Apple iOS v4.2.1 which is now can be upgaded to its newer version iOS 4.3 while Samsung Galaxy S II runs on Google's Android v2.3 GingerBread which is incorporated with TouchWiz 3.0 UI. Both these phones have got few similarities and few dissimilarities. I am comparing both these phones on some attributes. I'm putting both these phones side-by-side to dind out which one is better.


Size and Weight:
People now a days want slimmer and lighter phone, so the Galaxy S II has dimensions measuring 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm, while, the iPhone 4 has got 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3mm. The Galaxy S II seems quite bulky than that of iPhone 4, but then it has got bigger screen.
The Galaxy S II weighs 116 grams, while the iPhone 4 weighs 137 grams.
Clearly, with just 8.49mm, Galaxy S II beats iPhone 4.

Connectivity:
The Galaxy S II supports connectivity options including 3G/HSDPA/HSPA+ (21Mbps), 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0+HS. While, the iPhone 4 supports 3G/HSDPA (7.2Mbps), Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. Again, here Galaxy S II beats iphone 4.

Display:
The Galaxy S II fluants with glorius 4.3 inches Super AMOLED Plus screen which comes with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. While, iPhone 4 has got 3.5 inches LED-Backlit IPS TFT capactive touchscreen with a resolution of 640 x 960 pixels. Here again , the winner is Galaxy S II.

Camera:
The Samsung Galaxy S II comes equipped with super 8MP rear facing camera featuring auto focus and LED flash light. It has got brilliantly high resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. There is also a front facing 2MP secondary camera which supports video calling. It can record HD videos at 1080p@30fps.
The Apple iPhone 4 boasts 5MP rear facing camera with features like auto focus and LED flash light. It has also got a front facing secondary camera. It cam also record videos but at 720p@30fps.
Clearly, winner is Galaxy S II.

Processor:
On the inside, the Galaxy S Iihas got super-speedy 1GHz dual-core Exynos processor chip, while the iPhone 4 uses a single-core Apple A4 CPU, rated at 1GHz.
Yet again, Galaxy S II beats iPhone 4.

Storage:-
The Samsung Galaxy S II and the Apple iPhone 4 has got 32GB of internal memory. But Galaxy S II proves an extra room for memory expansion of up to a massive 64GB which iPhone does not provide. Winner – Again, Galaxy S II.

Misc:
The Galaxy S II has got some more basic features which includes GPS/A-GPS, DLNA content sharing, Wi-Fi direct, stereo FM radio (with RDS), optional NFC support, a digital compass, gyroscope and an HDMI port. It also comes equipped with four Hubs - Reader’s Hub, Social Hub, Games Hub and Music Hub.
While, Iphone 4 supports GPS/A-GPS, digital compass any few other basic features.

Conclusion:-
It should come woth no suprise that the Samsung Galaxy S II clearly wins the battle agains Apple iPhone 4.
